How to Measure Your Ring Size

Method 1: Measure an Existing Ring

  1. Choose a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably.
  2. Place the ring on a flat surface.
  3. Measure straight across the centre of the ring from one inside edge to the opposite inside edge.
  4. Record the measurement in millimetres and match it to the Inside Diameter (mm) column above.

Method 2: Measure Your Finger

  1. Cut a narrow strip of paper or use a non-stretching piece of string.
  2. Wrap it comfortably around the base of the intended finger.
  3. Mark the point where the ends meet.
  4. Lay the paper or string flat and measure the marked length in millimetres.
  5. Match the measurement to the EU / Circumference (mm) column above.

Tips for the Best Fit

  • Measure your finger near the end of the day, when it is usually at its normal or slightly larger size.
  • Avoid measuring when your hands are unusually cold, as fingers may temporarily be smaller.
  • Do not wrap the paper or string too tightly.
  • Make sure the selected size can pass comfortably over your knuckle.
  • Measure two or three times to confirm the result.
  • For a wide-band ring, consider choosing half a size larger for a more comfortable fit.

Please note: Chinese ring sizes may use either Mainland China or Hong Kong sizing. In the chart above, China refers to Mainland China.

Between sizes? Choose the larger size for a more comfortable fit.
